Gang Chen is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Health Economics Monash Business School.
His research interests include; health economics, quality of life and subjective wellbeing, health preference and economic evaluation.
His papers have been published in the leading journals such as Health Economics, Social Science & Medicine, PharmacoEconomics, Quality of Life Research, Health Policy and Planning, Medical Decision Making, Value in Health, British Journal of Psychiatry, British Journal of Cancer, Pediatrics, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Accident Analysis and Prevention. Dr Chen has started to serve as an Associate Editor for the Quality of Life Research (An Official Journal of the International Society of Quality of Life Research) since July 2018.
Gang has been awarded a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) fellowship from ARC.
His collaborative research is funded by nationally competitive grants from the NHMRC of Australia, MRFF, Cancer Australia, National Heart Foundation of Australia, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), China Medical Board, Research Council of Norway, as well as Australian government and organisation such as the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, and Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
