Dr Hannah Nguyen is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance.

She completed her PhD at the University of Queensland and joined Monash University in 2015. Prior to that, she did her Master of Business Research in Finance at the University of Adelaide.

Hannah was awarded the Executive Dean’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement twice during her Master study, and the University Medal for her Undergraduate study.

She has taught in the areas of Corporate Finance, Derivatives, Credit Analysis, and Financial Institutions Management.

She received a Dean’s Commendation for Teaching Excellence in 2016, and a Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2017.

Hannah’s research interests lie in the areas of asset pricing, financial institutions, risk management, and climate finance. Her research has been published in journals including Review of Accounting Studies, International Review of Finance, and Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics.
