Karen Yumin Zhang is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at Monash University.
Karen joined Monash in 2017 after completing her PhD in accounting at the City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests relate to auditing and financial accounting, and relevant accounting issues in emerging markets. The focus of her current works have been on the political connection in emerging markets, audit quality analysis at the individual auditor level, economic and social incentive in auditing, and organization structure.
Prior to joining Monash, Karen received Teaching Excellence Award at her previous institutions and a few awards of volunteer work in her spare time.
