Dr Ummul Ruthbah joined MCFS in June of 2019. She holds a PhD degree in Economics from the Massachusets Institute of Technology (MIT), where she was an IMF Scholar.

Ummul’s industry experience includes five years of consulting to the World Bank. Early in her career, she worked at the International Monetary Fund on the macroeconomic impacts of foreign aid. Her current research interests include issues related to sustainable finance and retirement planning.

Before joining MCFS, she was at the Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability at Monash Business School.
